Readers' Poll

Quote of the day

What you are today comes from your thoughts of yesterday and your present thoughts build your life of tomorrow. Your life is the creation of your mind.

Readers' Poll

I appear to have lost some of my regular readers...eek! I think it's because I usually do my best work when miserable, hence the lack of posts, hehe. I decided to do a little poll so you guys (all 3 of you) can tell me what you enjoy reading about the most. Maybe it will inspire me to write a bit more. The poll box is on the side bar under the pic of KB & Whitesnake.

KB's World

All is well with us. I've been catching up on a few fiddly projects I've been putting off. Feels good to be tackling them head on  rather than putting them off . The main issue I have is working the knots out of Coco's coat. She's very nervous around the clippers and her coat is getting more and more tangled. I've been sitting with her for a little time each day and slowly combing out the knots. We're making huge progress and she doesn't seem to mind it as much as she used to.

In other news, Steve has given up smoking and I'm so proud of him! I really must get off the computer and on with my day. I'll write more on that next time.

Have a great day/night.

Love KB

Today I'm grateful for...
Steve for taking such a huge step towards better health.

  1. Missy - I used to love doing 55s but I can't for the life of me think of anything to contribute there at mo.

I have my own personal journal I use for myself. My blog is also for me but I use it to communicate and get feed back from others when I need it too. The other day, I spent almost two hours working on a post and I think I only got one comment (it was probably from you), hehe. I used to get many comments so I wondered if I am now writing about things that don't interest others. If that's the case, I may as well stick to my private journal but then I would miss you guys. See, I have answered my own question...I'll just continue my rambling posts for you and a couple of others to read as normal, hehe.
    Thanks for reading (((Missy)))

  3. I voted! Although if I'm being honest I just like reading what you write - I don't really mind what it is!

I really like your quote today - it reminds me of one I posted just last night:

"It's lesson...is that what one can *see* is the present, the dimension of landscape which is in front of us now. But now is shaped by the past, backed by it, as it were, the way the glass of a mirror is backed by silver: it's what lies behind the present that gives it color and sheen. And now is always giving way, always becoming. It is this progress into the future which gives things the dynamic dimension of forwardness they could not have were they composed solely of a past and a present." (p. 8 of Heaven's Coast by Mark Doty)

  4. Your blog is great. I didn't have the time to visit so regularly. I love your travel postings, your poems and especially your beautiful pictures.

It is the lack on time and now surely in the summer which declares I am less online.

You don't have to change your blog; it is terrific.
