Weekend Walkabout ~ Eastern Beach, NZ

All is well here. Coco has recovered nicely from her visit to the Vet last week and is on her last day of antibiotics. Whitesnake and I have been enjoying watching as many games as we can from The Rugby World Cup 2011. It's a real treat to have the tournament in New Zealand.  I remember many times in the past, dragging myself out of bed in the early hours of the morning to watch games being played on the other side of the world. One time I set my alarm for 4am, watched a game, went to bed for a couple of hours and then off to work...watching the games live in our living room with a couple of drinks is much better.  New Zealand have won their first game, so far so good.
Now it must be time for walkabout...

Welcome to Weekend Walkabout, a place to share and explore the different corners of our world.

It's wonderful to see people enjoying the windy weather we've been having.

Walkabout is a phrase which means to walk around and explore with no specific destination in mind. Have you been walkabout anywhere interesting this week? If so, post your story or pictures to your blog, leave a comment here and a link to your post on our Linky and Whitesnake or KB will come take a look. Don't forget to put a link to Weekend Walkabout so others can find us and join in the fun.

See you tomorrow
Love KB

  1. Kite surfing is a big time sport here on the islands. Occasionally they are seen off all the beaches but most often only in the lagoons. When the wind sport enthusiasts hear that a hurricane is coming up the coast, the air transport gets booked up quickly. The surf can get quiet high and rough by times.

  4. Hello KB, nice to meet you, and what a delight to find you in New Zealand! I heard about the Rugby World Cup and saw the Black what? The NZ team Haka show on youtube at a blogger site. It was captivating and very spirited.

I am linking my walkabout, but I haven't been around much lately, but still home friends will enjoy simple flowers around the home.

  6. Fun! I would never have the courage to go parasailing like that though. If that's what they are doing.

Love your spirited posts on Rugby, :)
