has had a big week. Hubby and I took her to the vet on Monday. She stayed there
for the day to have some lumps checked out and to have her teeth cleaned. The lumps are benign and her teeth
are so white now that she could be a movie star J
turned eleven years young on Friday. It’s hard to believe that’s she’s eleven,
it seems like she was a puppy just yesterday.
the week, hubby and I were watching an episode of Criminal Minds. One of the
characters on the show was trying to defuse a bomb. Suddenly there was a huge
noise and our house shook. It felt and sounded like a large truck had crashed
into the side of our house. As you can imagine, it was quite a shock. The neighbours who were home came out of their
houses and we tried to figure out what had happened.
while later, we learned that there had been an explosion at a factory in our
neighbourhood and a man had died.
Hubby and I
recently watched an episode of ‘Secret Life of Dogs’. This week, dogs were
being filmed while they were home alone and the results were rather upsetting
to me. There was whining, howling, barking and many other forms of separation anxiety.
isn’t left on her own very often, so when we went out last night, we decided to
do a little experiment of our own. I set up my camera in the lounge and we
headed out for a couple of hours.
to report that the video was actually really boring. Coco
ate her chew treat, drank some water and spent most of her time in bed. She
wasn’t even waiting at the door for us when we returned.
Hubby and I
have had a busy week. Our appointments with CADS and the Gym went well, so far,
Mum and Dad
returned from their holiday in Australia
and stopped by our place on their way home. Hubby and I made them a cooked
breakfast of bacon, hash browns, toast and eggs. It was lovely to see them and
they thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast.
was due for a visit to the torture chamber (dog groomer’s). She doesn’t enjoy
being clipped and it took many years to find a groomer she was comfortable with.
Last time she was clipped we were very disappointed with the results and we
later discovered that the kennels had changed ownership. Luckily we found a new
dog grooming place where Coco feels
comfortable and the groomer did a wonderful job.
Offerings is the seventh in the Anita Blake series of books by Laurell K.
is a vampire hunter. She takes us into the world of vampires and other
monsters. I would describe this story as a mix of horror, thriller, fantasy and
erotica. There were some scenes which left me feeling rather uncomfortable, but
I enjoyed the character of the leading lady so much that I wanted to read
realise Burnt Offerings was a book from a series until after I began reading
it. I was able to follow the plot without reading the previous books, but I’m
really looking forward to reading the series from the beginning.
good today, I’ve just watched Australia
and New Zealand compete in
an exciting game of Rugby for the Bledisloe
Cup. Australia and New Zealand
compete once a year for the cup and our Men In Black (All Blacks) will retain the
cup for another year.
our Men In Black, I’ll share below Air New Zealand’s
Safety Video featuring some of the All Blacks. It’s a lot of fun to watch.
I weighed myself this morning. I haven't lost any weight this week, but I'm pleased I stuck to my goals for the week. I walked for 30 minutes three times, I didn't drink any Milo and I didn't eat and potato chips.
