    Where's Cockle Bay, Nth or Sth Island? I've done a bit of NZ, and can't sat I've been there!!

    Love it! It's called Cockle Bay because of the cockles found under the sea bed.

    are there still cockles here? I am crazy about collecting shell fish. Not so much as eating them, just holding them in my hand. The best expereince I had was in Whakatane where I got horse lip mussels.
