Happy Anniversary To Us

Hubby and I celebrated six years of being together this week.

I feel so happy and blessed to have found Steve. He is the kindest, funniest, most loving person I know and he’s also my best friend. I love spending time with him and he treats me like a princess.

I’m looking forward to spending many more happy years together.

Catching Up With The Parents

My parents recently moved to Tauranga, which is about three hours drive from where Whitesnake and I live.

They are going on holiday tomorrow, making a perfect opportunity to catch up as we live near the International Airport.

We had originally organised to go out for lunch, but my parents were quite tired after their drive. They requested some of Whitesnake’s delicious sandwiches instead. I have the best husband ever!

A good time was had by all and we will see them again when they return from their holiday. A lovely day.

THE KIWI PATIENT

Hubby's leg is healing nicely. His cast was removed a fortnight ago and he's been fitted with a moon boot. He's able to remove it to shower and sleep which is great.

I'm still busy playing nurse and driving him around to his appointments but he's finding it easier to get around and help me out a little more each day.

He has an appointment with a specialist soon and we're hoping he will be able to start driving again and be more mobile.

Anyway, that's why I haven't been around much. Miss you guys.

Take care

THE WEEK THAT WAS - PART ONE

ACCIDENTS HAPPEN

Where to begin? Hubby and I have been experiencing several challenges recently (understatement of the year).

We decided it was time for some relaxation. Hubby de-stresses by exercising. He used to play volleyball for New Zealand many years ago and has recently taken up the sport again. The problem is, he plays with the enthusiasm of a 19 year old while residing in the body of a forty something. So, I sent him off on his merry way with the words, "Don't over do it."

Ah, time for me to relax. I ran myself a bubble bath, lit candles and poured myself a glass of wine. I'd been in the bath all of five minutes when the phone rang. "Hi darling, I'm at the A&E (accident and emergency room) can you pick me up when you are free?"

This was the end result.

Looks like I'll be playing nurse for at least six weeks.

FAMILY PICS

Hubby wanted to take me over to England before Christmas to visit my step-daugter but I was still recovering from jet lag from our last trip. He took his youngest daughter with him instead and I wanted to share some of the pics from their trip. Hope you likey!
