A year ago today
Didn't expect to feel this way
Forlorn and ashamed
No one else to blame

Why did it end that way
Lies and deceit
No thoughts of who would weep

A year ago today
No one standing in my way
Hearts trampled in my wake
Their give, to my take

A year ago today
Gave my old life away
Too late to explain
My excuses, no ones gain

A year ago today
A new life on its way
His love will find a way
To guide me through this day

You would have understood me, had you waited

Would have loved me instead of hated

Your words cut deep and hurt me

Misrepresented and dirty

A mystery still unfolding

Begrudging instead of holding

Let loose on a sea of hate

Bide your time and commiserate

Battles fought, still raging on

Lovers distraught, mind has gone

You could have loved me, if you'd waited

Destiny and fate untranslated

Community Pantry

Look what we discovered while we were taking a walk this morning; a community pantry. Available for the community to drop off food for the less fortunate to collect as needed. Hubby and I dropped off an item we had left over from a Christmas hamper. A wonderful idea.
