Look what we discovered while we were taking a walk this morning; a community pantry. Available for the community to drop off food for the less fortunate to collect as needed. Hubby and I dropped off an item we had left over from a Christmas hamper. A wonderful idea.

ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful idea. I wonder - do you live in a city or a smaller town?? I have just found your blog and like what I see very much.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you, too! The food pantry is simply brilliant. I've seen similar done with books ... but food for the soul comes second to a good meal.
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful, hope it works well.
ReplyDeleteA great idea. Unfortunately I think they might be robbed over here.
ReplyDeleteSuper idea!
ReplyDeleteI hope the New Year finds you in good health and excellent spirit!
ReplyDeleteRyoma.
I like the idea and hope it works. Happy New Year to you and yours!
ReplyDelete...great idea, at first I thought that it was a 'little library.' Happy New York.
ReplyDeleteSo cool. I've never seen one before. Only portable libraries.
ReplyDeleteCreative and colorful!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year.
That's a good idea, but I'm cynical enough that I wonder how many people grab food from it that don't need it. I'll stick to my more traditional donations. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful community initiative!
ReplyDeleteWish you and yours a brilliant 2019!
wow - what a wonderful idea. Where was this? Happy New Year to you and thank you for visiting my blog today.
ReplyDeleteJill - on the side of the road
ReplyDeleteMick - in a city
ReplyDeleteImpressively, I've seen these as we drive around. It's so nice to know they are there for those who need them.
ReplyDeleteWe had the same idea here and installed even a fridge. Unfortunately we had to take it away because the food was stolen not by people who needed it. Now we have a room and those who come are checked. Isn't that sad ??
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this and makes me think about how that could work here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I like it!
ReplyDeleteThat's a fantastic idea!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea. We have an excellent Community Resource Center here in town plus a very well stocked food bank. The Resource Center also opens overnight for homeless people to sleep from fall through spring. - Margy
ReplyDeleteLove it That one is a very arty one. We have one around the corner here and we just dropped of some peaches from the garden
