Weekend Walkabout - Farm Cove

Welcome to Weekend Walkabout, a place to share and explore the different corners of our world.

Whitesnake and I spent some time on Boxing Day at Farm Cove. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Walkabout is a phrase which means to walk around and explore with no specific destination in mind. Have you been walkabout anywhere interesting this week? If so, post your story or pictures to your blog, leave a comment here and a link to your post on our Linky and Whitesnake or KB will come take a look. Don't forget to put a link to Weekend Walkabout so others can find us and join in the fun.

  8. Yes. It's a Pahutukawa tree which only grows in NZ. It flowers in Summer so we call it a NZ Christmas Tree.

  23. Lovely to see Summer, we must wait awhile. I remember the Pōhutukawa from our visit to New Zealand several years ago.
In California we use a related species, the "bottlebrush" in landscaping.

  27. Nice walkabout! I could have linked my sea walk to your linky too. :-) We had many wonderful walkabouts when we were in NZ... almost a decade ago! Would sure like to return, especially since I have a niece living there whom I haven't seen in too many years. That is a Christmas tree, with the red pompoms, right?
