Flash Fiction Friday - Cold Feet
It's been a long time since I've written a 55. Each Friday my 55 friends write a short story in exactly 55 words. If you'd like to join in the fun and games, write your story, visit G-Man and let him know you've posted.
There's been a lot of talk about Kim Kardashian's divorce this week and some of the things she said reminded me of how I felt before my wedding. So on this topic, there's a little of me mixed with a little imagination for my 55 this week.
Susan felt strangely calm until the day before her wedding. Now her mind raced, her feet paced the linoleum floor, faster and faster, trying to keep up with her thoughts.
"It's just cold feet," said her friends.
Ten years later, her feet were frozen in place. She should have run while she'd had the chance.
Have a great weekend all.

ReplyDeleteHi Kiwi, we sure have missed you.
I doubt if you've ever had cold feet.

Brian - good one.
ReplyDeleteG - I've misseed you guys too. My feet haw thawed considerably since I met Whitesnake.
Wow, you practically described my first marriage to a tee, except I got out after six years! Did much better the second time around. :)
ReplyDeleteJust how it is sometimes, sadly.
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of women say that. I don't remember if I had cold feet or not, just that it felt weird to go to the courthouse in the same car as my husband, having gotten up from the same bed in the house we co-owned. Maybe because his relatives kept making little comments.
ReplyDeleteCold feet. Nothing warm hands can't fix. Great 55. Glad to read you again.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great one!
