Having a lovely day with my man. Cooked a heart friendly recipe of Creamy Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon for our Valentine's Day brunch.

Coco is exhausted after her long walk with her Dad this morning, (while I slept in).

Looking forward to a relaxing afternoon reading a book and listening to music on our back deck. This evening we are going to watch a couple of romantic DVDs. Perfect! What are you all doing for Valentine's Day?

He travelled back in time to stop a murder. Carefully noting down every detail of the crime and how he intended to change the events of the day. The big day finally arrived, his efforts made no difference, a man still died. His notebook was found and used against him. Police arrested the wrong man.


I'm reading a fab book by Stephen King - 11.22.63, which gave me an idea for this story. I have no clue how the story turns out but this was one of the scenarios I came up with.

Weekend Walkabout ~ Cockle Bay

Why does our dog sleep half the day away?

She wakes to eat, cuddle and play.

Why do we work hard all day?

Flash Fiction Friday - Cold Feet

There's been a lot of talk about Kim Kardashian's divorce this week and some of the things she said reminded me of how I felt before my wedding. So on this topic, there's a little of me mixed with a little imagination for my 55 this week.

Susan felt strangely calm until the day before her wedding. Now her mind raced, her feet paced the linoleum floor, faster and faster, trying to keep up with her thoughts.

"It's just cold feet," said her friends.

Ten years later, her feet were frozen in place. She should have run while she'd had the chance.

Friday Feel Good ~ How Is Norma?

I've spent quite some time at the hospital and phoning the hospital recently so I can totally relate to this. Very funny.


HOW IS NORMA?
A sweet grandmother telephoned St. Joseph's Hospital. She timidly asked, "Is it possible to speak to someone who can tell me how a patient is doing?"
The operator said, "I'll be glad to help, dear. What's the name and room number of the patient?"
The grandmother in her weak, tremulous voice said,
"Norma Findlay, Room 302."
The operator replied, "Let me put you on hold while I check with the nurse's station for that room."
After a few minutes, the operator returned to the phone and said, "I have good news. Her nurse just told me that Norma is doing well. Her blood pressure is fine; her blood work just came back normal and her physician, Dr. Cohen, has scheduled her to be discharged tomorrow."
The grandmother said, "Thank you. That's wonderful. I was so worried. God bless you for the good news."
The operator replied, "You're more than welcome. Is Norma your daughter?"
The grandmother said, "No, I'm Norma Findlay in Room 302. No one tells me anything."

My feel good this week is easy...my Dad is out of the hospital and recovering at home. It doesn't get much better than that.
