The prompt from Writer's Island this week is fisherman, since I've already written about fishermen in my 55, I'm going to enter the same story for WI.
KB and Whitesnake snuggle up infront of the telly to watch the Deadliest Catch for the first time. Pictures of fishermen pop up on screen...Keith Wizard, Phil Cornelia Marie, Sig Nothwestern.
KB - These men have unusual names.
WS - Chuckles.
As the last name appears...Johnathon Time Bandit, she realises she's experienced another blonde moment.
Not quite a true story but close enough. For those of you who don't know the TV Show, there's a little clip above for you to watch. The names I'm referring to in my story are the captains first names, followed by the names of their boats. Hehe.
Friday Flash 55 - Each Friday, I compose a short story of 55 words - no more, no less. If you would like to join in the fun and games... post your story and report to the boss G-Man. If you're not interested in contributing a story, feel free to read the other entries. I'm sure any comments you have would be appreciated.
Whitesnake's 55 is HERE.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Love KB

Coming Up...Ask KB - In reply to a question from dear, Missy.

Writer's Island - Journey
Our prompt from Writer's Island this week is...Journey
We all have goals in life, some big, some small. Many people make a goal, reach it and move straight on to the next one without stopping to enjoy their success . Is it any wonder they remain unfulfilled?
An important lesson I have learned is to be grateful for what I have now. Even the little things...having hot running water for my shower (you probably know by now that I do some of my best writing in there, he he), going to bed on 'clean sheet day', the taste of chocolate, having a roof over my head, cuddles from Steve , family and friends who love me, sharing a banana with my dog.
One of my favourite sayings is 'life's not a dress rehearsal' but many of us act as if it were. Like an actress going through the motions, holding back for opening night. We only have one life, let's make the most of it. Take that extra few seconds to put on mascara, (I'm talking to the girls here) light the candles and set the table with the good china for dinner, wear perfume you love (girls again), phone that friend you've been meaning to catch up with, spend an evening reading in bed, indulge yourself with a wicked treat (whatever that may be).
Life is not about setting goals and reaching them, although this is important, life is in the little details. The story is the JOURNEY not the destination. Make your story a best seller.

Writer's Island - Titles
I had fun with the prompt from Writer's Island this week. The idea was to choose a CD and incorporate the song titles from it into a post. I used Robbie William's Greatest hits as I was listening to him in the car this morning. Managed to use every song title in almost the same order as they appear on the CD. Thanks Robbie.
My ANGELS, LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU through the MILLENNIUM. LET LOVE BE YOUR ENERGY with NO REGRETS in your hearts as you are STRONG. Give praise to Mother Earth because SHE'S THE ONE. I hope you don't destroy her but YOU WIN SOME LOSE SOME. Our KIDS dance along to their ROCK DJ, playing his SEXED UP tunes on the RADIO. Does his love SUPREME make him a BETTER MAN? I do believe his generation's COME UNDONE. Will they protect her when we've gone? Leaving SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL for ETERNITY or a world MISUNDERSTOOD.
