The prompt this week from Carry On Tuesday is...When I think how life used to be.
When I think how life used to be
It makes me sad and angry
Looking back on those days
My world has changed in many ways
Love once lost has now returned
Extinguished passion, now it burns
Life is full, free at last
Anger and sadness left in the past
KB's World
Not much to report today. Steve is working...as usual. It's raining...as usual. The All Blacks beat the Wallabies...as usual. Coco and I went for a walk in the rain...VERY UNUSUAL.
P.S. If you don't know who the All Blacks are...there's a little vid here for you. According to Missy - 'they're doing their little dance' before the match. AKA The Haka. Enjoy!
Hope you are all well and happy.

It makes me grin from ear to ear. Love it!
ReplyDeleteJust love your poem. It's clearly straight from the heart. You like that dance? Really? OK!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteLiked your poem. Nice happy one :)
ReplyDeleteThe All Blacks scare me...from their name to their "dance," they are like some primeval force that never loses.
Our world changes all the time. Yet it remains same..
ReplyDeletehalf-way through
Aoife - Glad you enjoyed it. The ALl Blacks is the name of our national rugby time. They perform the Haka before each International Game and it is a Maori Tribal War Dance. It gives me chills every time.
ReplyDeleteGautami - Thanks for stopping by.
Ah, a happy ending. :)
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love happy endings
