This week the prompt from Sunday Scribblings is - GRATEFUL
Grandma's cuddles
Freshly baked bread
Fairytale stories
Tucked up in bed
First true love
Joy holding hands
Sitting on benches
Making big plans
Family and children
Glowing with pride
Tiredness and sacrifice
Pushed to the side
Woman full grown
My time to shine
The simple life
Suits me just fine
Sometimes we can say such a lot with a few words.
ReplyDeleteThat poem was nice without being overly sentimental. There is beauty in simplicity.
ReplyDeleteAnd as I get older - the simpler the better!!
ReplyDeleteVery well done and a great list to be greatful for
ReplyDeleteI'm noticing that most people are grateful for the simple things in life. Not one person, yet, has even mentioned money!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful poem!
a joyous song of life..
ReplyDeleteOnce again you excel as you grow.
ReplyDeleteI am so very very proud of you!
Great job! Just great!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful.
ReplyDeleteah simple life..sounds wonderful..
ReplyDeleteI really like that. Very you!
ReplyDeleteLet me take the simple life anytime. Well done.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you remind me about what is important, you are probably about the only person who can tell me someting without me arguing lol.
ReplyDeleteI real think that your writing gets better and better and I don't know if that's because you are actually getting better or just sharing more of what you already have inside. Either way, I feeled honoured to be able to share what you write and I'm proud to be your friend (which is another thing to be grateful for)
simple days are definitely the best :) well said!! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much for the lovely comments.
