Poetry: Together

A poem for my husband (Whitesnake) on his birthday. 

Dreams of you

and me together.

Souls entwined,

for now and ever.

Candles lit,

music playing.

Red wine flowing,

bodies swaying.

Probing tongues,

exploring mouths.

Hands and fingers,

heading south.

Clothes are falling,

skin exposed.

Senses awakening,

from head to toes.

Lost in each other,

bodies entwined.

I am yours,

you are mine.

I remember writing this during a period of my life when Whitesnake and I were apart; but we had decided that we wanted to be with each other again at any cost.  It was complicated! We've been together now for ten years and it's the best decision I ever made.
