Goodbye Old Friend

She was left alone for days at a time. Just as he intended. Saying she was hard to love. She began to believe it. Her solace her computer screen and friends she made through it. Chatting to anyone, even those who treated her badly. She wondered why she cried at night. Her loneliness all consuming.

    Why do I SO identify with this one? (I DO have a lot of friends...really?)

    I imagine there are many people out there who fill the lonely times on the computer, with friends they've made to replace those who are no longer available in their every day lives.

    I know it's been a blessing to me in the two years since my job ended. I've loved blogging and the connections that have become near and dear to me!

    However, this jerk in your story needs to get his walking papers. No one deserves this kind of abuse!
