Readers' Poll

Quote of the day

What you are today comes from your thoughts of yesterday and your present thoughts build your life of tomorrow. Your life is the creation of your mind.
- Buddha

Readers' Poll

I appear to have lost some of my regular readers...eek! I think it's because I usually do my best work when miserable, hence the lack of posts, hehe. I decided to do a little poll so you guys (all 3 of you) can tell me what you enjoy reading about the most. Maybe it will inspire me to write a bit more. The poll box is on the side bar under the pic of KB & Whitesnake.

KB's World

All is well with us. I've been catching up on a few fiddly projects I've been putting off. Feels good to be tackling them head on  rather than putting them off . The main issue I have is working the knots out of Coco's coat. She's very nervous around the clippers and her coat is getting more and more tangled. I've been sitting with her for a little time each day and slowly combing out the knots. We're making huge progress and she doesn't seem to mind it as much as she used to.

In other news, Steve has given up smoking and I'm so proud of him! I really must get off the computer and on with my day. I'll write more on that next time.

Have a great day/night.

Today I'm grateful for...
Steve for taking such a huge step towards better health.

INTRODUCING...

A few months ago, our friend began interviewing her blog buddies and posting snippets of convos she'd had with us, on her blog. I was firsties *glows with pride* but all I could think of at the time was what a great idea it was and how I wish I had thought of it first. It's kinda been at the back of my mind and I thought I'd try my own take on it.

I often visit blogs and wonder how others who comment, found each other, whether they know each other in real life. Maybe I'm just nosey but those kinds of things interest me.

So, I'm going to do my own interview series. Not the same as Morgy because let's face it, I can't get half way through the interview and say, 'That's all very interesting but now, let's talk about me.' *giggles*

I'd like to introduce my blog buddies to you, maybe include a few pics, how we know each other, include some of my favourite blog posts. Don't worry, I won't divulge your deep, dark secrets (saving that for when I need some cold, hard, cash) or include pics without your permission.

What I'd like from you nutters is for you to vote on my poll over there *points to the right*. This is not a popularity contest. I don't want you to vote for your favourite blogger (cause obviously that would be ME). I would like you to vote for a person you have seen around and maybe found interesting or wondered what on earth they have in common with this crazy blonde.

It's my way of introducing my friends to you. Also, there are a few people on my blog roll I hardly know so it will be a good way for me to learn more about them too.

Happy voting, I hope I didn't forget anyone, I did it in a bit of a rush...will check it again later.

P.S. Mr Grumpy Pants - the last option is especially for you :)

DIS AND DAT

I have lots of odds and ends to report today.

I have a few topics in mind for my Flash 55 this week but they are all mixed up together at the moment... which could be hazardous considering topics include warm spots in swimming pools and disturbing behaviour in lifts/elevators. So, I created a poll, it's over there, on the right *points*. Help me out and vote for the topic you'd like to see and I'll do my best. I've left the poll open till next week because I'm not sure if I'll have time to write a 55 till then.

In other news...the overnight low in Auckland is 0 degrees this evening! We've had snow in NZ in places it hasn't snowed in ages. Global warming...MY ARSE. That's a topic for another day. I mean Global warming...not my arse!

Still more news - the average person spends 25 years of their life sleeping. This can't be right, I reckon I've spent that much time asleep already and I'm only forty.

More exciting news! Hubby bought a 42 inch TV without informing me. KB was not happy! I watched an episode of Bones last night... got to see David Boreanaz naked (all 42 inches of him...gulp) in the bath tub, wearing a beer hat...that's him, not me. KB extremely happy.

EVERY GIRL'S CRAZY BOUT A SHARP DRESSED MAN!

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YA WOMAN? GET YOUR LIPS OFF HIM - HE'S MINE!

I'll head off now and see if I can plug my Playstation into new TV. I'm visiting Brother-In-Law tomorrow night. Want to get some practice in so I can kick his ass at SingStar.

It's been great catching up. How are you?

I almost forgot. Me likey this quote ALOT! Unfortunately, I'm not sure if it's quite right as I was on the red when I wrote it down and it's barely legible. Also, I have no idea who said it...heard it on the TV show - Criminal Minds.

He who controls others may be powerful but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.
