FLASH 55 - LETTING GO

Tears fall as she remembers holding the children in her arms. They didn't grow inside her, but mother and daughters they became. Misunderstandings divided them. Easier for the young women to pretend she never existed. If you love someone set them free, is easier said than done. She took a deep breath and let go.

Flash Fiction - Each Friday, I compose a short story of 55 words - no more, no less. If you would like to join in the fun and games... post your story and report to the boss G-MAN. If you're not interested in contributing a story, feel free to read the other entries. I'm sure any comments you have would be appreciated.

Happy reading and writing!

  11. It's so sad, Karen but time does heal a lot of wounds. Sometimes distance does make the heart grow fonder but it is also necessary to keep reminding those whom we love, that we do still love them, otherwise it might become easier to conveniently sweep the dust under the carpet. Hope all goes well.

  13. I'm so sorry. Letting go is horrible, but sometimes that's what you need to do to bring them back. And I do believe they will come back. Sometimes they just need time and space to realize they need you too.

    My post is up here.
