Early years, caring for others,
casting her needs aside.
Mind and body in their prime,
ticking clock far from her mind.
His relief, as each month passes,
her desperation hidden inside.
Brimming with wisdom, bursting with love,
she welcomes her second chance.
But her body grows weak, time marches on,
Mother Nature will finally decide.

FLASH 55 - HORROR SCOPE
She turned to her horoscope for guidance.
‘Planets are at odds today, bringing out your jealous, possessive side. Holding on to loved ones, will make them more determined to escape your tenacious grip. Try to relax.’
Stepping over her lover's bloody corpse, she made her way to the bathroom.
A bubble bath would relax her.

MY POETRY AND ARTICLES
I'll be updating my poetry and articles from the Helium website over the next couple of days. This will make me a little more organised and I hope you will read a couple of them too:) I'll list them oldest first. Reading them makes me realise how far I've come since I first started. CHECKING IN
Hello my friends,
Hope you are all well. Life is good with us. We're making the most of the last of the sunny weather. My parents are coming over tonight for a bar-b-que, which will be cool.
I've been busy rating and writing over on -HELIUM. I joined the sight a few years back but became discouraged by the attitudes of some of the people who belonged to the site. Decided to go back as they owed me $2.74...don't laugh! I'm enjoying my time there and I'm hoping to improve my stats and maybe earn $5 - now you can laugh. I've earned a writing star and a rating star so far, which means the articles I've written are in the top 75% of the categories they are in. *glows with pride*. This means, either my writing has improved dramatically since I first posted over there or many of the other writers are crap. LOL!
Here's my favourite article to date. You may recognise it as an earlier blog post. That's what I love about Helium - I retain the rights to anything I write for the site which means I can post to my blog as well.

I've been neglecting my blog recently but I intent to post on a more regular basis. Haha, famous last words. I've posted over on the blog I share with -Whitesnake. too and hope to keep posting over there more often as well.

FLASH 55 - LETTING GO
Tears fall as she remembers holding the children in her arms. They didn't grow inside her, but mother and daughters they became. Misunderstandings divided them. Easier for the young women to pretend she never existed. If you love someone set them free, is easier said than done. She took a deep breath and let go.

FOR MY FRIENDS
A true friend doesn't care what you're wearing, if you're home is tidy or not, if you're car is making funny noises, that you only have $5 in the bank this week, or that you and your loved ones aren't perfect and do actually fight...a true friend just likes you for you!
