Pretty Mess - Erika Jayne

Shared with Teaser Tuesday and First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros. Please feel free to play along.

Here's my teaser:

There's a fine line between keeping kids totally in the dark and telling them the adult truth. I do't think she got the balance right, and she erred on the side of telling me more than I could handle.

First paragraph:

I made my stage debut at the age of five. I was in the St. John The Baptist Kindergarten production of Mrs. Jingle B. It was a Christmas pageant with singing that sounded more like screaming in unison. The dancing looked like a bunch of drunk bunny rabbits trying to find their way home after a bender.

There is a new post regarding my health and wellness journey too...

An Insightful CBT Session

me more than I could handle.

Love the above KB! There is no telling of kids these days. Parents don't really know what to expect. Parents cringe expecting 'no holds barred' sort of info bandied about!

  9. When I was a child we were told..."Little piggies have big ears"...and the adults were referring to pigs.

Children over-hear and learn much...too often things they're too young to understand. Somethings that will stay with them throughout their lives...unfortunately, to their detriment.

Adults should be at all times aware of the harm that can be caused to children...the everlasting mental harm.
