Only in our dreams
That’s how we used to meet
Our partners beat us down
Surviving them quite a feat


They tossed our dreams aside
Such stupid goals to make
Said their ways were better
But they came across as fake

Now we are together
Our dreams each day unfold
Never forget your dreams
No matter what you’re told

    I learned that in my twenties - the hard way. Then I got lucky, and found a guy who valued my dreams as much as I did.
