Message in a bottle
Swept away by the sea
Secrets held within
Dreams of you and me
Message in a bottle
Tossed to and fro
Emotions hidden inside
Ensnared, nowhere to go
Message in a bottle
Washed up on the shore
Waiting to be found
Love lost no more
Message in a bottle
Read and set free
Never to be trapped again
Our dreams of you and me

Very romantic.
ReplyDeleteI always seem to enjoy storys that include the message in a bottle idea and I like the way you rhyme it into your poem.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to One Shot Wednesday! Great poem, I really liked your use of imagery. I also liked your romantic spin to a simple message in a bottle. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteI got a big message in a bottle once, in fact, too many bottles. Red wine bottles, white wine bottles, scotch bottles. I discovered that I was hooked on bottles. I never wrote about them though - just drank everything they had in them. One day I finally got the message - stay away from the bottles. Now I write.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you and keep up the writing - it's great stuff!
glad your bottle was dreams and not the agony and pain of the other commenter
ReplyDeletelovely and sweet my friend

I'm glad your bottle was uncorked. Tender poem with a happy ending. Doesn't get much better.
ReplyDeleteNow all you need is a Genie in a bottle to go along with that.

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog...please don't be a stranger.
I'd been off-line for the past couple of days...lots of activity going on outside my cabin...tree-loppers doing what their name suggests! So I had know phone and no internet connection...the latter was driving me more insane than I usually am! :)

ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the whole poem, but was struck by the idea of the emotions stuck in the bottle. Glad they found a way free. :)
