Acrostic Poetry - Tradition

Going to the beach for the Christmas holidays is a popular tradition in New Zealand.

Toes in the sand

Restless minds begin to calm

Another lazy day

Diving into the ocean

Imagination abounds

Toasted marshmallows

Intoxicating moonlight

Open fire to dance around

Nourishment for the soul

  2. I felt I was there with you - but not at Christmas! Toes in the snow.....!

  3. What a cool tradition! Unthinkable here in the wilds of Montana, but certainly makes sense in a place that is warm and has access to the ocean. I like that it brings you calm.

  4. Very sweet and upbeat. Funny how we are heading in the opposite direction into Winter.

  5. You took me to the beach. I am just back from my beach on the west coast of Canada, where the huge waves were rolling in......too cold to swim in, but full of happy surfers.

  9. I like the form you chose to deliver your thoughts. I would love to be on a beach. It’s fall and another cloudy rainy day.

  10. I grew up near the beach, but it was never warm enough to go swimming. I enjoy walking on the beach in the winter time though.

  11. Love the beach but not the Red Tide (both words fit the letters in your acrostic!).
