640 nm NW Honolulu - HUBBY'S 55
Captain Loni Calder was finishing her final Combat Air Patrol for this rotation of the USS Barack Obama, a US Nimitz Class carrier. The Battle Group was heading for Honolulu for much needed R and R. For Loni, call sign “Eel”, it was going to be a great furlough. Her brother Karl would be there.

ReplyDeleteIs it a para from your new story!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, Nazish, it is. Loni is the First Officer's brother from the previous 55. While he is working for the airlines, she is still with the US Airforce. They are to meet in Honolulu, but tropical cyclone "Felicia" will come between them....
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Clark

Buff - usually tropical cyclones for the Pacific. Hurricanes for the Atlantic.
