Keeping Up With KB

Hi all,

I've been feeling happy and relaxed the past few days.  We've had some beautiful Spring weather, along with a few rainy days.  Whitesnake and I have been making the most of the sunshine by taking a few walks. Nothing like a walk in the sunshine to give mood and energy a boost. We put the clocks forward last weekend so we have an extra hour of daylight to enjoy too.

Enjoyed lunch with Whitesnake and my parents a couple of days ago. They had raved on about a new Indian restaurant and wanted us to try it out. Whitesnake isn't much of a curry lover and I couldn't image eating a curry for lunch, but it was delish. The atmosphere, decor, food and company was amazing. We had curry, a soft drink, rice and naan bread for just $10 each. A bargain.

P.P.S Whitesnake baked Turkish Bread and Orange Cake yesterday...YUM. I'm so lucky.

Keeping Up With KB

After a year of ups and downs, I can officially say that today I'm free from my old life. The house sale was finalised today and I'm free to start my new life with my darling Whitesnake. We've been together for three years this week. How time flies when we're having fun. I'm so excited!

Keeping Up With KB

Really great catch up with a friend I haven't seen for almost a year. Been out to Howick earlier today and taken some pics for tomorrow's Walkabout.  House still on the market but being put up for Auction in a couple of weeks. Whitesnake is cooking dinner for me. All is good.

Our recipe for today is...Roast Beef.

Weekend Walkabout

30 days to a happier, healthier me - day 6.

One of my first goals was to walk more each week. I was struggling a little previously as I had been experiencing the occasional panic attack when I was walking. I took some of my friends advice and decided to go somewhere different for my walk and take my camera with me. I found this worked really well as I was focusing on my environment instead of letting my thoughts race (which can lead to panic). You can read more about my thoughts on panic attacks here.

With this in mind, Whitesnake and I have decided to take a walk somewhere different each week and share our pics with you. We've called this blog segment Weekend Walkabout - a place to share and explore the different corners of our world.

Here's some pics I took last week while in the park.

Walkabout is a phrase we use in NZ, which means to walk around and explore with no specific destination in mind. Have you been walkabout anywhere interesting this week? Keeping Up With KB

I'm full of a cold so I will keep this post short. Whitesnake had a wonderful birthday and will post pics soon. I missed most of it 'cause I was not feeling well.

Righto, that's all from me, I'm going to put my feet up and read a book. My thoughts are with the families of the Pike River Miners. There was a second explosion yesterday and no longer any chance of survivors. A sad day for us all in New Zealand.

Keeping Up With KB

The sun is shining, Whitesnake and Coco are taking a nap...not together, hehe and all seems right with the world.

Whitesnake and I enjoyed a delish lunch at our favourite Japanese Restaurant. As you've probably realised by now, we dine there as often as we can. We then put our feet up to watch - It's Complicated. I laughed a lot,  Meryl Streep was adorable and funny in her role.
