Microfiction Monday - Growing Up

Here's my take on this week's Microfiction Monday Pic.

Ida sighed as her father took her hand.

I know I mentioned I enjoy moonlit walks along the beach but I didn’t expect YOU to take me.

Have a great week all.

  1. Your wonderful, over-protective dad spin has me thinking of comedian Bill Engvall's line: ""Boy, look at me. You see that little girl right there? She's my only little girl, man. She's my life. So if you have any thoughts about hugging, or kissing, you remember these words: I've got no problem going back to prison."

  2. Aawwww.. ROFL!!
I'd do anything in the world for one more walk with my Daddy -- and as for the men in my life, pffft!

It took way too long to learn that.

(and while reading this I loved that I had a grandmother named Ida -- really!)

  6. I had a grandmother named "Ida" too! I hope someday her father lets her walk the beach with her beau instead of him...
    Have a great week. Cheers!

  11. A Father's love for his Daughter, I wonder if it is the Night before he walks her down the aisle and he is Giving his Ida some Fatherly Advice.

  15. Thanks you two. As we get older we appreciate those walks with our folks but I envisioned Ida as still in her youth.
