New Zealand has beaten Australia 24-17 in the Sevens Final of the Commonwealth Games. This is the fourth consecutive gold for the Kiwis in this event. I'm so proud of the boys. Why do we call them boys in these situations went they are obviously men? They stripped off their shirts and
performed the Haka after winning their medal. This takes our gold tally to three. Cool!
I'll be back later in the day

Is a Haka a dance of some sort? LOL, if you're happy than so am I.
ReplyDeleteIt was origingally performed by Maori warriors before a battle but is often performed before a rugby match here or by NZ sports teams as a celebration of a victory.
ReplyDeleteGood on them. Great job. In the Netherlands was recently on the news that youth groups are not allowed to perform the Haka before a game. Bugger
